Newly-crowned county senior football champions Clonmel Commercials will play St Finbarr's in next Saturday's Munster Club Football Championship quarter-final at Clonmel Sportsfield.
Speaking after his team defeated Kilsheelan/Kilcash in Saturday's county final, Commercials manager Tommy Morrissey stated "We didn’t play in Clonmel the last time we were in the Munster championship, because the condition of the pitch was brutal.
"But a huge amount of work has gone into the pitch, between ourselves and St Mary’s over the last 12 months, and by the Sportsfield committee. We feel we have it in a condition that’s suitable for an occasion like that".

When asked about his team's prospects against Cork champions St Finbarr's, he said "We’re a club who believe that we should be on this stage (the Munster championship), and we’re not going into the competition as a token gesture. We want to be in that competition to be competitive".
The game will be his team's third in as many weekends, but he said he would "take that any day".

Next Saturday's match will start at 1.15. The referee is Chris Maguire, Clare.
The winners will play Eire Óg of Ennis in the Munster semi-final on November 23, following the Clare team's defeat of Waterford champions Rathgormack last Sunday.
