Cllr Annemarie Ryan at the new exhibition opened in Tipperary Town
A new exhibition by Irish artist Tom Meskell opened last weekend in 6s&7s Art Gallery in Tipperary Town (6/7 Davis Street).
In 'Basking - the Nursery', the focal points are two juvenile sharks, each about 2.5 metres in length, suspended in blue-green light amidst the sounds of the ocean.

The sculptures were made in collaboration with local artists, and are made entirely from biodegradable materials - Irish willow, paper, and paper tape - a process in which community and care for the environment are integral.
"It's an amazing exhibition in a a gorgeous space. I recommend lying on the floor under the sharks to really appreciate it.
The show runs until the 19th December, Tuesdays to Friday 10am to 4pm and Sat 11am to 4pm, at the 6s & 7s gallery, Davis Street, Tipperary Town.
