Tipperary has been plunged into grief after three young lives were taken just hours apart during a dark weekend on the Premier County's roads with just days to go to Christmas.

The accident occurred on a local road at Killeen, Ballinunty shortly before 6pm on Saturday evening.

And then, before that news had barely sunk in, a second fatal crash occurred at 1.10am on Sunday morning on the Frank Drohan Road (N24) when a man in his 30s was killed in a two-vehicle crash.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal road traffic collision in Clonmel, county Tipperary in the early hours of Sunday morning, December 14, 2025.
The collision involved two cars and occurred at approximately 1:10am on the Frank Drohan Road (N24).
A male, aged in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post mortem will take place.

No other serious injuries have been reported.
The road is currently closed from the Cahir Road Roundabout to the Heywood Road Junction on the N24.
Local diversions are in place and an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will be conducted.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
They are appealing to any road users travelling in the area between 12:30am and 1:20am, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to them.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Clonmel Garda Station on 052 617 7640, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
The latest fatal crash comes after gardaí appealed for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in county Tipperary on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Shortly before 6pm, gardaí and emergency services responded to a serious collision involving four vehicles on a local road at Killeen, Ballinunty.
Two adult males in their early 20s and late teens, who were occupants of one of the cars, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two females, both in their 20s and travelling in a second car, were taken by ambulance to Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Six other individuals were medically assessed at the scene and did not require immediate hospital treatment.
The road remains closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are currently in place.
The local coroner has been notified and post-mortem examinations will be arranged.
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
They are also appealing to any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time to make it available to them.

Investigations are ongoing.
