Local Tipperary secondary school makes several charitable donations following fundraisers

CBS Thurles wishes to say many thanks to Margaret McCormack from SVP who was presented with a cheque for €1000.

This money was raised during the annual Christmas Jumper Day.

Many thanks also to Niamh Tobin from Barnardos who received a cheque for €250 which was collected from donations from ribbons for the Remembrance Tree initiative to remember those in our hearts and minds this Christmas.

Many thanks to all the school community for their generosity as always and well done to our student council for all your hard work.

On Friday, the school was delighted to welcome Tricia and Mary O’Dwyer from Suir Haven into the school.

The visit was to mark the handing over of €1,000 raised by the Harty Cup panel bake sale earlier in the term.

The money will support the vital services provided by Suir Haven.
