Tipperary County Council has given notice that it proposes to make orders closing two streets in Clonmel for substantial periods to facilitate watermains repair and replacement.
The local authority is proposing to close the R-688-9 Cashel Street in Clonmel from its junction with Queen Street and William Street between 7am on Monday, January 23 to 7am on Monday, March 16.
Traffic will be diverted via the R-707-2 Queen Street, R-688-13 Kickham Street, R-688-11 Upper Gladstone Street and then onto the L-7613-0 Morton Street.

It is also proposing to close the L-7614 William Street, Clonmel from its junction with Bolton Street and Upper Gladstone Street for a month between 7am on Monday, February 9 and 7am on Monday, March 9.
It's proposed to divert traffic via the R-688-11 Upper Gladstone Street, the L-7613-0 Morton Street, L-3605-1 Mary Street, L-3605-2 Bolton Street and onto the R-707-2 Queen Street, Clonmel.
Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Thursday, January 15 or by email to roadclosures@tipperarycountycouncil.ie
