The Neighs & Notes concert in aid of Nonie’s Second Chance Horse & Animal Rescue was a magical evening of original music performed by local songwriters, singers and musicians at Carrick-on-Suir's Brewery Lane Theatre.

Songwriters Gay Brazel, Kristof Robert, Ray Nolan, Keith O’Shea, Marian Ingoldsby, Jane Mc Loughlin and Marie Walsh all performed at the show along with the The Wood of O duo comprising Breege Phelan and Will McLellan.

The concert that took place on December 11 raised €1,365 for Nonie’s Second Chance Horse & Animal Rescue, which is a small stables that cares for rescued horses and animals at Tinhalla just outside Carrick-on-Suir.

Catherine was overwhelmed with the kindness of everyone involved in the fundraiser and thanked the performers from The Low Notes songwriting group in Carrick and The Wood of O, who gave up their time to perform at the show.

She thanked all the team at Brewery Lane Theatre for facilitating the concert, all who sponsored raffle prizes, bought tickets, donated money and attended the concert.

Catherine has been rescuing horses and animals for 30 years and plans to host an open day next spring.

The funds raised from the concert will be spent on feed for the rescue horses and animals and go towards maintaining and adding to the animal rescue premises.
