The percentage of broken streetlights in the county has dropped to 1.5% for 2025, down from 3% in 2024.

Councillor Shane Lee pointed out that Roscrea has been streetlights to be repaired for eight weeks, and residents are frustrated, blaming councillors for delays they cannot control.
Liam Brett, who is responsible for roads, transportation, health, and safety, said the percentage of broken streetlights in the county has dropped to 1.5% for 2025, down from 3% in 2024.
Brett asked the council to allow the contractor more time and encouraged the community to report any lighting problems as soon as possible.
