Carrick-on-Suir school's careers fair was attended by wide range of colleges and employers

Representatives from a wide selection of businesses, colleges, companies and State organisations attended an interesting careers fair at Edmund Rice Secondary School in Carrick-on-Suir.

Parents, guardians, teachers and students were delighted to meet and talk to professionals who gave them guidance and information on potential career choices and training.

An Garda Síochána, the Irish Defence Forces hosted stands at the event as did a range of third level and post Leaving Cert colleges including the University of Limerick.

University College Cork, South East Technical University, Mary Immaculate College and Salesian Agriculture College in Limerick, Tipperary ETB and Carrick-on-Suir, Further Education & Training Centre.

MSD, Bausch & Lomb, Suir Engineering, Sanofi, Musgraves, Brophy Cusack Auctioneers, Robotics & Control Ltd, Teagasc, Medite, Smartply and Radley Engineering were among the industries, companies and other employer organisations that took part in the fair.

Students had time to circulate and speak with each of the visiting representatives who all explained what their respective companies and organisations did, how they operated and opportunities available to employees.

The careers fair that took place on December 9 was a huge success and a welcome opportunity for students to explore the vast number of career paths available to them.

Edmund Rice Secondary School thanked everyone who attended, especially those who gave up their time to talk about their careers to the school’s students.
