Cahir Development is leading the charge to save community hall building
For generations, Cahir Community Hall has been more than just a building – it's been the beating heart of our community.
It's where we've celebrated weddings, mourned together at funerals, watched our children take their first dance steps, cheered at local talent shows, and gathered for everything from bingo nights to charity events.

But our beloved hall is now at a critical crossroads. After years of serving our community faithfully, it desperately needs major renovations to continue being the safe, welcoming space we all know and love.
Thanks to grant funding and tremendous volunteer effort, this important project has already begun. However, Cahir Development Association now relies on the generosity of the wider community to help complete the works and we need to raise €150,000 to complete essential renovations including structural repairs, accessibility improvements, updated facilities, and safety upgrades.
This investment will ensure the hall can serve Cahir for another generation and beyond. The refurbishment commenced on February 4, and it is hoped the Hall will reopen by the end of April, allowing all groups to return.
How You Can Help - every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal: €20 keeps the lights on during community events, €50 helps repair essential infrastructure, €100 contributes to accessibility improvements and €500+ makes a transformational impact. Even if you can't donate, please share this campaign with anyone who has memories of Cahir Community Hall or understands the value of community spaces.

Fundraisers are continuing and last week the Cahir Community Hall Fundraising gofundme page was launched and more fundraising events are planned, so please watch this space for upcoming events and please donate what you can.
Cahir Development Association is deeply grateful for the support, encouragement and generosity so far and hopes you spread the word. Thank you for helping to secure the future of Cahir Community Hall.
