Rehearsals for Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society’s 2026 show – Man of La Mancha – are reaching their climax this week as the cast put the finishing touches on their performances ready for opening night this Sunday, March 22.
The eagerly anticipated musical will be staged at the Strand Theatre in Carrick-on-Suir for seven nights up to and including Saturday, March 28.
The cast are rehearsing every night this week in preparation for the show inspired by Cervantes’ famous novel Don Quixote.
They took time out from their busy schedule for a photo shoot in costume to promote the musical.
The atmospheric photos were taken by Carrick-on-Suir photographer John Murphy and really set the scene for audiences. They were taken at Ormond Castle and the Man of La Mancha stage set at the Strand Theatre.
Tickets are sold out for performances on the final weekend of the show but there are still some available for some shows early next week.

They can also be booked from the Strand Theatre box office by phoning (051) 645050 and leaving a message. The box office will be open for ticket sales this Wednesday, March 18 from 11am to 1pm and Thursday, March 19 from 11am to 1pm.
