The Presentation Secondary School, Thurles community came together to support Daffodil Day 2026, and what a truly special and memorable occasion it proved to be, the school says.
With the sun shining brightly, the school was filled with warmth, positivity and a wonderful sense of togetherness from start to finish.

A wide range of events took place throughout the day, from delicious bake sales to a beautifully hosted afternoon tea, where they were delighted to welcome special visitors into the school.
The atmosphere was truly uplifting, with an electric sense of community spirit felt in every corner, a day that will long be remembered by all involved.
The school says a huge well done to Ms Finn and the Fifth Year committee, whose hard work, organisation and enthusiasm ensured the success of the event, along with their dedicated teachers who supported them every step of the way.
Their efforts resulted in an outstanding total of over €7,000 raised.

The school extends their sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, whether in person or online.
Every donation, big or small, made a meaningful difference, with all funds going towards the vital work of the Irish Cancer Society.
They say well done to all involved in making Daffodil Day such a meaningful and uplifting occasion, a fitting and heartwarming way to close the term.
