Runners from across Tipperary and beyond laced up on Sunday morning, March 29, for the Littleton Labyrinth 10 Mile Road Race.

Organised by Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. in conjunction with Tipperary County Council, the race got underway at 9:30am from the Horse and Jockey Hotel, with a strong field taking to the flat and fast course. Conditions were favourable, adding to the appeal for both competitive runners chasing times and those simply looking to enjoy a well-organised community event.

A standout feature of the race was its incorporation of sections of the newly opened Littleton Labyrinth. Winding through the distinctive bog landscape, the route offered participants a unique and scenic running experience, showcasing one of the area’s newest amenities.

The event drew an impressive turnout, with runners of all abilities joined by enthusiastic local supporters who lined parts of the route and gathered at the finish line. Their presence added to the atmosphere, creating a warm and encouraging environment throughout the morning.

With a €1,500 prize fund on offer and free event t-shirts for the first 200 entrants, there was an added buzz around the race, but it was the sense of community and the quality of the course that stood out most on the day.

The success of the event also underlined the growing popularity of the Littleton Labyrinth. Promoted by Tipperary County Council, the route provides a safe, accessible and scenic space for walking, running and recreation, and Sunday’s race demonstrated its potential as a venue for future events.
