WATCH: Irish people warned amid wild footage of Lanzarote flooding
Lanzarote in the Canary Islands has been hit with severe rain storms which are set to continue over the next week, as Storm Olivier brought orange and yellow weather warnings.
According to Accu Weather, on Thursday April 10 heavy rain showers will continue for the day with showers to continue up until next week.
Meteorología Lanzarote posted a video of the rain storm to Facebook and said, "this morning several storms formed next to Lanzarote, to the West and over the sea, which is where most of the water fell. Above ground it also rained in much of the island, around 20 litres, according to the data I had access to."
"Video was recorded at LaSanta, Tinajo. In Haría, Yaiza and Teguise have also seen running the ravines again, after the passing of the first rains of the blizzard Olivier. In principle, today it won't rain more, at least with intensity, but it will rain tomorrow early in the day," the post said.

"Unthinkable for me to see rain like this in Lanzarote. When I was little, I almost didn't know what rain was! How the weather has changed!!," a Facebook user commented.
"Wow so changeable ...we got home last night and the weather has been fantastic the last few days...hopefully changes back to sunshine quickly though," a Facebook user said.
"I live in Playa Blanca and the truth is I have never seen this in the 12 years that I have been here, nor do I hear that in other sites of Lanzarote I passed this," another person said.
