Carrie Bradshaw’s hatbox suitcases, Mr Big’s engraved watch and a jumpsuit worn by Miranda Hobbes are some of the items that will go under the hammer at an auction for Sex And The City spin-off And Just Like That.
The auction will feature original fashion and furniture from all three seasons of the hit show.
The suitcases used by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie are expected to fetch between 300-500 US dollars, while the manuscript of Carrie’s Loved And Lost book is expected to raise 200-300 dollars.
The engraved watch and jewellery box belonging to Carrie’s late husband Mr Big has an estimate to 800-1000 dollars.
A jumpsuit worn by Cynthia Nixon’s character Miranda is slated to fetch 500-700 dollars, while her Bottega Veneta clutch bag has an estimate of 400-600 dollars.
Furniture from the show will also be auctioned, with an eight-light rope-bound chandelier expected to sell for 600-800 dollars and a Louis XVI-style Demilune Credenza expected to go under the hammer for between 1000-2000 dollars.
From the props department, a card from Kim Cattrall’s character Samantha, reading Love, Samantha, is expected to fetch 200-300 dollars.
And Just Like That, which premiered in 2021, revisited many of the characters from Sex And The City, which ran from 1998 to 2004.
The auction marks the first time fans will have a chance to buy pieces from the production, which will each come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Warner Bros Discovery.
Martin Nolan, co-founder and executive director of Julien’s Auctions, said: “And Just Like That…: The Auction features an unparalleled selection of iconic fashions and furnishings, [and] is the perfect bridge between high-end living and pop culture collecting.
“Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte have defined elegance and luxury for generations of fans, who now have a chance to take part in the preservation of their favourite characters’ legacies.”
“By merging luxury with media, Julien’s is meeting the demand for lifestyle-led collecting where every piece tells a story.”
After the auction, Warner Bros Discovery, the company behind the show, will make a one-time donation to You Gotta Believe (YGB), a charity specialising in finding permanent families for pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults in foster care.
The charity was especially meaningful to the late actor Willie Garson, who portrayed Stanford Blatch on And Just Like That and Sex And The City – having adopted his son, Nathen, from foster care.
Garson served on YGB’s advisory board and Nathen is now a current member of the non-profit’s advisory board.
The auction is now open for online bidding and will conclude with a two-day live event from Julien’s in Gardenia, California, on April 30 and May 1.
