A man has been arrested after a two-year-old boy died and four adults were injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a stolen car.
Police were called to the incident in Dartmouth Road in Smethwick, near Birmingham, just before 11pm on Saturday.
The driver of a grey Porsche Cayenne fled the scene after it hit the Toyota Auris carrying the four adults and the boy, West Midlands Police said.
The child died after being taken to hospital. A 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man also remain there in a serious condition.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving on Monday after police acted on received information. He remains in custody for questioning.
Checks on the Porsche have also revealed it was stolen earlier this month.
West Midlands Police are still appealing for information or dashcam footage related to the incident.
