Waterford has one of the best NCT pass rates for cars in the country, latest figures reveal.
The county has a success rate 59.09, well above the national average.
The centre in Waterford ranks 8th highest in the country.
Derrybeg NCT Centre in Co Donegal had the lowest ranking with a pass rate of just 40.01.
Cars tested in Cavan town and Clifden in Galway also didn't have a high success rate, with just 42.25pc and 43.96pc of cars passing inspection in the last 12 months, respectively.
At the other end of the scale, Deansgrange in Dublin had the highest pass rate with 62.65 per cent of cars passing there.
Abbeyfeale was the next highest, with 60.58 of cars passing with Killarney at 59.87 and Portlaoise at 59.81.
A total of1,396,024 cars were tested last year. This was down on the 1,418,852 inspections carried out in 2021.
In total, 14 testing centres had pass rates of below 50pc, while the national average was 54.29pc in 2022.
This figure was a little over 1.5pc up on the previous year.
