It will be mostly cloudy today, with patchy light rain and drizzle with some limited sunny spells.
The best of the limited sunny spells will be in the east and southeast, according to Met Éireann.
It will be relatively mild for the time of year with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees, however the moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty southwest winds will take the edge off those temperatures.
Highest temperatures in Wateford will reach 13C at 12 noon and will drop slightly from 4pm onwards, with a low of 10C from 11 pm.
It will be mostly cloudy but mainly dry tonight with just a few patches of light rain or drizzle about. Some limited clearer intervals occurring too. Lows of 5 to 8 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds, fresh to strong near western and northwestern coasts.
Some brief sunny spells are forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, but generally it will be cloudy again with occasional drizzle. More persistent rain will develop in the west during the afternoon, and this rain will track eastwards over the country through the evening and early night.
Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees are forecast in moderate south to southwest winds.
