Waterford road to close temporarily to celebrate designer of Irish tricolour

A road in Waterford will be closed today (March 5) to facilitate a local celebration.

According to Waterford City and County Council, the road in front of Menapia Building at The Mall will be shut from 11am to 2pm.

This is in order to facilitate the Thomas Francis Meagher Tricolour Celebration, which has been celebrated all weekend.

Other events relating to Thomas Meagher taking place today include a wreath laying, oration, and flag raising ceremony.
