JOB ALERT: Waterford council seeks applications for role of Ukrainian translator

Waterford City and County Council is seeking applications for the role of a Ukrainian translator or interpreter. 

The role is a 1-year fixed term position based in Dungarvan, and the person chosen must be of good character and willing to work flexible hours. 

He/she will work with refugees from Ukraine and help interpret conversations at the Rest Centre as well as medical and school appointments, all while maintaining strict confidentiality. 

Working with refugees to help them understand and complete official forms accurately and in a timely manner will also be required, among other duties. 

Closing date for interested parties is Thursday April 6, 2023 at 4pm.
