Waterford gardaí warn of rogue traders targeting vulnerable people

Waterford gardaí has issued a warning to people following incidents that occurred recently in Waterford City.

The incidents consisted of a number of calls being made to residents offering tarmacking services.

The people who made these calls to the houses, gardaí warned, 'targeted some of our older residents with services not requested and sought payment'.

A vehicle was subsequently seized and investigations are ongoing.

The advice is not to engage with unsolicited callers without verifying their details.

Take note of their vehicle registration details and report to your local Garda Station.

Gardaí ask that you check in on your older neighbours advising them not to engage or pay for services they did not request.
