FAI confirms postponed Waterford v Cork City match to go ahead as planned

The postponed Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup fixture between Cork City and Waterford will go ahead as planned tonight (August 21).

The original fixture at Turners Cross was postponed due to the Status Orange weather warning issued by Met Éireann on Friday August 18.

According to the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), the pitch was not deemed playable following two inspections.

All tickets for the original fixture remain valid for tonight's match, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
