According to the Road Safety Authority's driver test estimation tool, learner drivers seeking a category 'B' test in Waterford could be waiting until May of next year to receive an invitation to book a test.
Assuming you join the waiting list today, the estimated earliest you can expect a test booking invitation is May 15, 2024.
Estimated wait times for nearby counties are: Kilkenny (June 17, 2024), Carlow (March 18, 2024), Clonmel (March 18, 2024), Portlaoise (April 15, 2024) and Wexford (April 15, 2024).
The above dates are only estimates and the RSA cannot offer any guarantees due to external factors outside of their control, e.g. weather conditions or a tester becoming unavailable.
If you are employed by the HSE, a private hospital or the emergency services and need to drive as part of your job (not including commuting to your place of work) then the RSA may prioritise your application.
