Two Waterford women taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after dog attack

Two women have been taken to hospital for "serious injuries" sustained during an incident with a dog in Waterford.  

Waterford Gardaí attended the scene of the incident, which took place at a residential property at St Johns Park yesterday afternoon (Friday October 27) at approximately 1pm. 

Emergency services removed the women - one aged in her 30s and the other in her late teens - from the scene to University Hospital Waterford. 

According to Gardaí, their injuries are serious. 

The dog involved in the incident was seized by the WCC Dog Warden and investigations are ongoing.
