The 2024 Waterford Festival of Food attracted a record attendance of more than 75,000 people, the largest in its 15-year history
The sun has barely set on the hugely successful Waterford Festival of Food and the organisers are already beginning the preparations for next year's festival which will take place between April 25 and April 27, 2025.
The 2024 festival attracted a record attendance of more than 75,000 people, the largest in its 15-year history.
Positioned firmly as one of Ireland’s largest and longest running community food festivals, this year’s Waterford Festival was packed with a hugely diverse and ambitious programme of food and fun events.
Across the weekend, more than 80 free and ticketed gatherings took place, largely centred around the scenic harbour town of Dungarvan which is the main hub for the 3-day festival.
Waterford’s enormously impressive food heritage took centre stage, with progressive cultural and community events themed around local producers providing an informative and entertaining mix.

In the days following the wrapping up of the 2024 festival attendees, market stallholders, food businesses, the local community and media have extended a hugely positive reaction to this year’s festival and communicated clearly on how already they are eagerly anticipating next year’s festival!
