Marc Ó Cathasaigh, Green Party TD for Waterford, has welcomed the announcement that Ardmore has been successful in its application for funding.
“The investment in improving the public realm and traffic calming measures on the main street, by the seafront, and on Cliff Road will help make the village an even more pleasant place for people of all ages to get about, as will the new pedestrian way between village and sportsfield. The investment in a new, family-friendly village green is a great step forward for the village and refurbishment of the Sandcastle on the seafront is well overdue. Given the increase in severe weather events, the construction of sea defence measures from Ardmore to Duffcarrick is to be welcomed," he said.
