Waterford strawberry seller robbed by two teenage boys in daylight heist

Waterford Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a strawberry seller was robbed by two teenagers in broad daylight.

According to An Garda Síochána, the incident occurred at 4.45pm at Marymount in Ferrybank just by the Grotto on Ross Road.

Two young men approached the stand and asked the price of a punnet of strawberries; as the seller turned to get a bag for the punnet, the duo made off with the cash tray which was on the counter.

Gardaí stated it was "a busy time on Friday afternoon with commuter traffic passing the location".

One thief had light blonde hair and was of medium height and build. He was wearing a black wind breaker jacket. The other had brown hair and was wearing a black hoody and grey pants.

Gardaí in Ferrybank are looking for any dashcam footage that may assist with the investigation or any witness who may have observed two males running from the stand towards the church in Ferrybank.
