Ireland's biggest Christmas festival has announced dates for Winterval 2024.
Organisers of the beloved Waterford festival are already busy creating a programme of festive fun months ahead of the event, which runs between November and December.
Directors of the festival, John Grubb ad Trevor Darmody, said, "We are just over four months from the opening of Winterval 2024 and excited to share that the programme of events is shaping up to be the most diverse, creative and fun yet.
"The festival team and the people of Waterford are very proud to wear the European City of Christmas badge and of course, that comes with some added pressure but that will be most definitely met as we deliver a wonderful Winterval 2024."
This year's event will run from November 15 to December 23.
Firm favourite activities such as the Winterval ice rink and fair ground will be back, as well as the city centre lightshow and a bigger and better Winterval parade (November 16).
Grubb and Darmody continued, "We are thrilled to announce that the Winterval parade will be even bigger and better for Winterval 2024, it will have a new route, and new additions. It will also culminate in a wonderful riverside fireworks display, it will certainly be a not-to-be-missed occasion and an incredible beginning to the Winterval festival."
Further details on the Winterval festival will be shared over the coming weeks, for details see www.winterval.ie
