To date, more than €40,000 has been raised but more funds are needed
More than €40,000 has been raised to date by Rapid Response Vehicle for West Waterford Committee which is continuing in its efforts to reach its €200,000 target.
The committee have asked for support from the public as they hope to purchase and get on Emergency Response Vehicle on the road in the West Waterford area.
Once deployed, the Rapid Response Vehicle will cover West Waterford, the Copper Coast as well as the Comeragh Mountains and surrounding areas.

The committee chairperson Michael Ryan said, "The Rapid Response Vehicle will be able to respond to incidents like cardiac arrest, road traffic collisions, workplace and farming accidents, and much more."
He continued, "It will enable a volunteer doctor to provide life-saving treatment on the scene while an ambulance is on the way, whether it's on the side of a road, in schools, workplaces, or in your own home."
So far the Rapid Response Vehicle for West Waterford Committee have managed to raise €41,954 of their target figure via a GoFundMe page.
