SOLD OUT! Former State Pathologist set for appearance at Waterford Writers Weekend

On Friday, Dr Marie Cassidy  will be in conversation with Damien Tiernan of WLR at Town Hall Theatre, Dungarvan

Tickets for an intimate event featuring former State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy have completely sold out, the organisers of Waterford Writers Weekend have announced.

Over her 15 years in the role, Dr Cassidy became known to the Irish public as a trusted figure whose expertise helped to solve murders and clarify unexplained deaths in Waterford and across the country.

On Friday night, the author of two number one bestselling books - her memoir Beyond the Tape and her debut crime novel Body of Truth -  will be in conversation with Damien Tiernan of WLR at Town Hall Theatre in Dungarvan.

The event, which is sold out, promises to give attendees a fascinating insight into Dr Cassidy's work as State Pathologist and her  writing.

Damien Tiernan, formerly the South East Correspondent for RTÉ News, currently presents the weekday flagship current affairs programme Déise Today on WLR.

He is the author of two books ‘Souls of the Sea’ and ‘The Ecstasy and the Agony’.

Waterford Writers Weekend begins this Thursday, October 24 and continues until Sunday, October 27.
