Tributes paid following sad death of Waterford woman who was 'so full of life and laughter'

Tributes have been paid following the sad death of Mary Wadding (née Lyons), late of Pineridge, Wexford Town, Wexford and formerly Rockfield Park, Waterford.

Mary passed away on Tuesday, March 18. She is predeceased by her late husband Michael.

Mother of Barry, Laura, Bernard and Mary Clare, sister of Rosaleen, Pat and Tommy and Nana to Charlotte, Sarah, Eoin, Orla, Georgie and the late Ben, also, Rhianna and Rhys.

Mary will be so sadly missed by her sons, daughters, sister, brothers, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Emma and Roisin, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Mary, with one mourner writing, 

"Barry, Laura, Bernard and Mary Clare...there are no words, so sorry to hear that Mary has passed but now reunited with Michael and Ben...we have such lovely fun memories, a great holiday in Alvor, fun nights in Kelly's, always fun and lots of laughter. RIP Mary."

Another said,

"Sincere condolences to Mary's children, sisters and brother on her passing . I worked with Mary in Customs and Excise in Waterford back in the day before/during and after her marriage to her beloved Michael. We had a great crack (even through we were working). Often saw her in Waterford since then and we always enjoyed remembering that good time. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace."

While another said,

"My condolences to the Wadding and Lyons family on the sad passing of Mary. I recall fond memories of our teenage years around the Cork Road and the local schools back in the 1960’s before we all lost touch with each other. May she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Macken's Funeral Home, Distillery Road, Wexford, Y35 HP29, today, Thursday March 20, from 2pm until 6pm.

Removal shall take place on Friday morning, March 21, to The Church of The Assumption, Bride Street for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in St. Ibar's Cemetery, Crosstown.
