Ann O'Gorman (née Lynch) passed away on Monday
Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Ann O’Gorman (nee Lynch), late of Masseytown, Macroom and Dungarvan, Waterford.
Ann passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, attentively cared for by staff of University Hospital Waterford and family at her side.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Edmond (Ned) O’Brien and sadly missed by her sons Kevin, Eamon, Liam, daughter Claire and her daughters in law, grandchildren and her many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends in Ireland, UK and Scotland.
Special acknowledgements to Sullane Haven Macroom Co Cork and St Vincent’s Ward, Dungarvan Community Hospital Waterford, who gave such love, kindness and attention to Ann over the last few years.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Ann, with one mourner writing,
"My heartfelt and sincere condolences to Liam, Eamon, Kevin. Claire and all of Anne's family her extended family members and her huge circle of friends at this sad and extremely difficult time. Rest in eternal and everlasting peace Anne you were an absolute lady and a lovely person to speak to."
Another wrote,
"You were such a lovely person to have as a customer and, eventually a friend. Bon Voyage Ann. Wherever you go you will be loved."
While another wrote,
"Sincere sympathy to Kevin, Eamon, Liam and Claire on the loss of Ann. I was so saddened to hear this news yesterday, Ann was always such a lady and a great friend to us all. She had a great sense of humour and fun and was an excellent card player. She loved her trips to mass and getting her hair done and I'm glad she got to do both in the days before leaving us. Rest in peace Ann, we will miss you. Thinking of the family at this difficult time."
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation in FitzGeralds Funeral Home Macroom (P12KX79), today, Friday March 21, from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday 22 at 1.30pm in St. Colman’s Church, Macroom (P12VP20) which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/macroom followed by Funeral to St. John’s Cemetery, Coachford.
