Many friends, family and past co-workers took to RIP.ie to express their condolences
Tributes have come flooding in for Waterford-based woman Christine Gregory who sadly passed away on Sunday, April 13, in the presence of her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.
Christine, who resided in Tallow and is formerly of Glanmire, Cork, was the dearly beloved wife of John Barron, adored mum of Mary, much loved daughter of Elizabeth and the late Joe, and dear sister of Kevin and Andrew.
The Cork native will be sadly missed by her loving family, Mary’s partner Kris, John’s sons Emmet and Killian, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Many friends, family and past co-workers took to RIP.ie to express their condolences.
An old friend said, "Sincere condolences to all of Christine’s family. Our son was in Mary’s class in St Joseph’s school, Riverstown, Glanmire. Christine was always up for the chat and had a great humour about her anytime we met. May she rest in peace and may her family be consoled by the many happy times ye shared together."

A former colleague spoke fondly of Christine, saying, "Sincere condolences to Christine's family on her untimely passing. I worked with her in CUH and she would brighten up the dullest of days with her smile and wicked sense of humour. She always spoke so lovingly about her daughter, Mary and family. Rest in peace Christine."
A third stated, "There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing someone so dear. Christine was more than a friend, (she) was a piece of our story, a part of our heart. I will carry the memories, the laughter, and the moments we shared forever. May your soul find peace, and may those of us left behind find the strength to keep your light alive in our hearts. Rest in peace, my friend. You are deeply missed."
Ms Gregory reposed at Barry Brothers Funeral Home in Glanmire on Wednesday, April 16, from 5pm to 6pm.
The much-adored woman's Liturgy of the Word took place in St Joseph’s Church, Springhill, the following day at 2:30pm, with the funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island in Ringaskiddy.
