RIP: Tributes paid to Waterford man who was a 'legend' following his passing

Gerry (Ringo) O'Regan - Dunmore East, Waterford - Saturday 19th April 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Gerry (Ringo) O'Regan of Dunmore East, Waterford.

Gerry passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday the 19th of April 2025.

Gerry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving children Gillian, Tony, Stevie and Robbie; his adoring grandchildren Harry, Joe, Alice and Grace; his daughter-in-law and his son-in-law. Gerry will be greatly missed by all his relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences Gillian, Tony, Stevie & Robbie. Ringo was such a legend in so many ways, he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many. Thinking of you all. RIP Ringo"

Another reads:

"Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Tony, Claire and girls, Gillian and family, Stevie and Robbie. As a family growing up we have fond memories as kids playing together in the woods and in the field at the back of the cottage.
The great loves of his life were his four children and his grandchildren , music and Dunmore East. Most conversations would be about one or the other or all. Remembering Pat and Dinah also over these few days. Wherever Ringo was there was banter. Rest in Peace Ringo."

Funeral Arrangements

Gerry’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, the 24th of April, at 11:30am at The Church of the Holy Cross, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford.

As per Gerry’s wishes a Private Cremation Service will take place later on Thursday.
