ALERT: Road to close in Waterford City for three nights due to resurfacing works
Waterford locals have been advised that Abbey Road in Ferrybank will be closed from Wednesday, 11 June to Friday, 13 June due to night time resurfacing works.
The road works are due to take place from Fountain Street junction to Christendom junction over the three nights, starting at 8pm each night and finishing at 6am daily.
People have been advised to adhere to all local traffic management and follow directional signage during the resurfacing works.
Diversions will be in place from Slieverue Roundabout via the N29.

Waterford City and County Council said that the night time work is intended to "minimise any potential traffic disruptions" for local residents and businesses. They have also apologised for any inconveniences caused.
They added that emergency and local access will be maintained for the duration of the road works and that Leaving and Junior Cert exam students will not be impacted.
