TikTok star Matt of Food Review Club has labelled a Waterford pub's stew and pint of Guinness as "everything you could have asked for."

Food Review Club is a social media account that was set up in 2018 to hunt out the best hidden gem food spots across the UK.

He has since blown up online being hailed as "The Kebab King" by the BBC.

One of Matt's most recent adventures saw him take to Waterford City "on a wet and miserable day" where he discovered 'The Gingerman.'

He ordered the house special which consisted of a beef and Guinness hotpot alongside a pint of Guinness.

He described it as a "robust, hearty, slow-cooked stew," which contained root vegetables, some mash, and beef.

Matt layered the stew onto a buttered slice of brown bread before giving his initial reaction.

He goes on to take a few more bites and spoonfuls before revealing the verdict - "Quite simply, that is a masterpiece," he said.

"That stew, I don't ever remember having a better one," he added

Matt then went on to compliment the staff and the pub itself.

He then concluded with a rating for The Gingerman, giving it a 9.5 out of 10.
