Thirteen counties across Ireland, including Waterford, have been hit with weather warnings for Friday and Saturday as significant downpours and strong winds are expected.
A Status Orange Rain warning has been issued for Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow will come into effect at 2pm on Friday afternoon until 11am on Saturday morning.

Significant rainfall accumulations, especially on high ground and exposed areas are expected with impacts including possible significant flooding and hazardous travelling conditions.
A Status Yellow Rain Warning has been issued for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford that will come into effect at 9am on Friday morning until 9am on Saturday morning with heavy and persistent rain falling on saturated ground expected and possible impacts include poor visibility, flooding, and difficult travelling conditions.
A status Yellow Wind Warning has also been issued Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow as strong and gusty northeasterly winds are expected along with difficult travelling conditions and possible wind related debris. This warning will come into effect from 12pm on Friday until 4am on Saturday.

Today
Patches of rain or drizzle in parts of Ulster will continue to clear this morning. Scattered showers will move northwards across the country through the day, some turning heavy. Occasional sunny spells will occur. Highest temperatures of 7 to 15 degrees from north to south, with moderate to fresh northeasterly winds in the north and light to moderate variable winds elsewhere.
Early tonight will be mainly cloudy with scattered showers, some heavy. Overnight, rain and drizzle will move up from the south, mainly affecting the south and east. It will become breezy with a moderate to fresh northeasterly wind developing. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees, coldest in Connacht and Ulster.

Friday
Wet and windy across much of the country tomorrow, with widespread rain and fresh to strong northeasterly winds, particularly gusty along eastern facing coasts. The rain will be heavy at times, particularly in the south and east with flooding expected in places. It will be driest in Ulster and north Connacht with some brighter spells possible. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees.
Dry with clear spells in Ulster and north Connacht, but cloudy and wet across other areas on Friday night. Quite windy with a fresh to strong northeasterly wind and lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees.
Saturday
Northern areas are likely to see the driest and brightest weather on Saturday, with cloud and patchy rain or drizzle across the rest of the country, although this will become more isolated later. Rather windy at first, with fresh to strong northeasterly winds, but these will ease. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.
Staying cloudy at night with isolated light rain or drizzle across the southern half of the country, but dry with clear spells further north. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 9 degrees, coldest under the clearest skies in the north of the country.

Sunday
Mainly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light to moderate northerly winds.
Mostly dry with clear spells at night, although cloud will increase in the north and west at times, bringing a few light showers. Cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees, in a light west to northwest wind.
Monday
Cloud will gradually extend southeastwards across the country on Monday, bringing scattered outbreaks of rain. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light and variable winds.
