The public are still waiting for answers on changes made to the Farronshoneen Roundabout in Waterford city.
Independent councillor Declan Barry raised the issue during the November Metropolitan District meeting of Waterford City and County Council.
Cllr Barry said: “The first thing I want to raise is the issue of the Farronshoneen Roundabout.
“I believe or I would expect that the second survey would have taken place by now, so when are we going to have the results of that?
“And then what action will be taken from there? Are we just going to be given a report or is there going to be a discussion or decision made on leaving it stay as is, reverting back to the way it was or some other thing?

“I’d like a bit of clarity or public information on that, they’ve been very patient up to now.”
In response to Cllr Barry, Senior Engineer Michael Murphy said that the survey in question was carried out on the 15th and 16th of October.
Mr Murphy added that the findings of that survey are detailed in a report which was due to be brought before the Transport Infrastructure SBC on November 20.
However, that meeting was deferred until December 9, when the report will be first discussed.
Earlier this year, over 1800 people signed a petition calling for a review of the roundabout in light of recent changes.
These changes included the reduction of the approach to the roundabout from the Farran Park direction to one lane.
Controversially, this change was never signed off on by councillors and has been the subject of much criticism since.
Fine Gael councillor Jim D’Arcy, who campaigned on the issue during the 2024 local elections, previously said the changes showed a “lack of democracy”.
