A part of a popular Waterford restaurant looks set to be converted into a residential property.
A planning application has been submitted which details plans for the Esquire Bar and Restaurant in Tramore.
The application, which was submitted by Paul Horan, outlines the proposed conversion of part of the building.
Some of development’s ground floor is set to undergo a change of use from bar and restaurant to residential.
Internal construction works are planned for the ground and first floor of the building in order to convert it to a self-contained dwelling unit.

Front elevational changes will also be carried out, comprising of a new front door and windows.
As well as that, changes will be made to the balcony at the rear of the first floor. A number of associated site works will also be carried out.
The application was submitted to Waterford City and County Council on December 12. A decision is expected to be made by February 14.
