The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has alerted the public across Waterford and Ireland to an urgent recall being carried out by Smyths Toys amid further asbestos fears.
Smyths Toys is carrying out a recall of various Dig products including,

The products present a risk to health as the sand may contain asbestos. Asbestos is a banned substance across the EU because it poses a risk to health.
The CCPC continues to engage with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Further updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
The product was sold in Smyths Toys Stores.
