Conditional planning permission has been granted to a Waterford Bishop to install three new school buildings on the Military Road.
Most Reverend Alphonsus, Bishop of Waterford and Lismore, sought planning permission for the developments in Feburary.
Waterford City and County Council have granted conditional planning permission for the three single-storey school buildings to be installed at Holy Family Junior School and Our Lady of Mercy Senior Primary School.
One of the buildings at the Holy Family Junior School will have a Special Educational Needs Classroom as well as a new fenced soft play area.
The other will feature three mainstream classrooms.

The new building at Our Lady of Mercy Senior Primary School will also feature a Special Educational Needs classroom and new fenced soft play area.
Permission was also sought for a new fence and gates for the playground at Our Lady of Mercy Senior Primary School.
The planning permission was granted with eight conditions, one of which states that works must only be carried out at certain times.
These times are between 8am and 7pm from Monday to Friday and between 8am and 2pm on Saturdays.
Another condition is that all of the details of external finishes of the buildings such as materials, texture, and colour must be submitted to the Council prior to the development works getting underway.
The planning application received one submission, from a woman who opposes the development.
She outlined three points that she would like to have considered, one of which was that there was a concern the buildings would not be used for their intended purpose.
There was also a concern regarding the privacy of the people living in the homes close to the school, as well as a concern about vermin control.
