Planning permission has been sought for a new age-friendly accommodation just outside of Tramore town in County Waterford.
Oaklee Housing CLG has submitted an application for a new residential development consisting of 25 age-friendly independent living dwellings in Ballycarnane, Tramore.
If approved by Waterford City and County Council, the development will consist of 17 one-bedroom single-story dwellings and eight two-bedroom single story dwellings.

The proposed development will include a new vehicular entrance to the site, along with a dedicated pedestrian access point.
The application also seeks permission for 17 car parking spaces, as well as secure cycle parking facilities.
In addition, the project will feature site boundary treatments and wider development infrastructure, including connections to both new and existing services.
The proposed development would include central landscaped courtyard will form a key part of the design, complemented by a community garden and ancillary landscaping.
The application also seeks approval for all associated site and ancillary works.
A submission or observation in relation to the application can be made in writing to the planning authority for a prescribed fee of €20.
This must be within five weeks of the authority first receiving the planning application.
Any submissions or observations on the proposed project must be submitted by Wednesday May 13, with the final decision on the planning application due on June 3,2026.
