One in Four Ireland is calling on people across Waterford to lace up their hiking boots and take part in its annual flagship fundraising event, Mountains of Change, taking place on Sunday 24th May 2026.
Following the remarkable success of last year’s inaugural event, which saw more than 125 hikes completed across Ireland, the UK, the US and further afield, raising over €34,000, this year’s campaign aims to go even bigger than before. Funds raised will directly support the organisation’s vital legal advocacy and specialised mental health services for survivors of child sexual abuse.
Participants in Waterford are invited to take on local favourites such as the Waterford Greenway, St Declan's Way or the Glenpatrick Bridge Walk as part of this powerful national day of solidarity.
Mountains of Change invites participants to hike a mountain or trail of their choice on the same day. Individuals are encouraged to register and create a team with friends, family, or colleagues to take on the challenge together.
The event provides an inspiring fundraising opportunity, combining wellbeing, community engagement, and awareness-raising through one impactful display of solidarity.
Groups and individual participants can find full event details and register for free today at: www.mountainsofchange.ie
Individuals, organisations and community groups in Waterford interested in supporting Mountains of Change or seeking additional information are encouraged to get in touch directly with Roisin at roisin@oneinfour.ie.
Together, we can move mountains and create lasting change for survivors of child sexual abuse.
