PICTURES: Work begins on new €29.5 million Ballinamuck Water Treatment Plant

On Friday, April 17, Uisce Éireann officially marked the commencement of works on a major upgrade to drinking water infrastructure in the Dungarvan area. 

A brand-new water treatment plant at Ballinamuck, Co Waterford, represents an investment of €29.5 million. It will deliver a safe, robust and resilient drinking water supply for homes and businesses across Dungarvan and the surrounding areas. 

Pictured at the commencement of works are Sean Laffey, Director of Asset Management and Sustainability at Uisce Éireann, John Cummins TD, Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Mary Butler TD, Minister of State at the Department of Health and Eamon Gallen, Chief Operations Officer Uisce Éireann.
