Drivers in Waterford will be paying more to pass through the N25 toll from January next.

New figures released from Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) confirm the hiked charges.

The N25 toll will cost €2.10 for cars in 2023, an increase of 10 cent on the existing charge.

The charge is going up by 30 cent for both buses and LGVs, with the charge rising to €3.80.

Announcing the increases, TII said the new plans were necessary "due to the inflationary impact during 2022."

In total, there are 10 toll roads on the national road network.
