STOLEN: All-Ireland winner's medal owned by Waterford man has been taken

The gardaí are investigating the crime.

A 1948 All-Ireland winner's medal owned by former Waterford player Daithi de Paor was stolen last Friday.

De Paor was part of the Déise team that defeated Dublin in 48' and was an ex-county board official.

The medal, which has been passed down through the Power family, is owned by his daughter.

The gardaí are investigating the crime and have requested anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Glenbrien between 4 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Friday and who may have seen people acting in a suspicious manner is asked to contact them on 053 9242580.
