Killian Cantwell has re-signed with Waterford FC ahead of the 2023 League of Ireland First Division season.
The defender, who captained the team and made 24 league appearances for the Blues last campaign, was a key member of the squad - helping Danny Searle's side make the playoff final last month which ultimately ended in defeat at the hands of UCD.
Cantwell told Waterford's club website: "I’m delighted to be back for next season. I really enjoyed my football here last year and I feel as if there is unfinished business to take care of.
"Our fans last year were excellent; it was brilliant to play in front of them week in and week out and I know they will be behind us again this coming season.
"Waterford FC is a massive club and it is heading in the right direction. There are some really good people working behind the scenes and I can’t wait to be a part of it again next season."
