Waterford FC have announced that striker Wassim Aouachria will remain with the club for the 2023 League of Ireland campaign.
The former Marseille youngster had spells across the water with Charlton Athletic, Aldershot Town and Braintree Town before joining Danny Searle's side last July.
Aouachria, who has scored an impressive 12 goals in 19 appearances since his arrival, told Waterford's club website: "I’ve been here for four and a half months, and it already feels like home. The fans, the staff, the people in the city and county, everyone has been so welcoming. I love it here and I am buzzing to get started for next season.
"Obviously, I was disappointed with how last season finished, but it’s another step to where we all want to go. The club is moving in the right direction and if we keep working hard, we will get back to where we should be.
"I want to win everything next season. The main goal will be to win the league and go back up. It is not just about saying it, but about showing it every week. Working hard and proving we should be at the top table. We have great people here and if we all work hard and back each other we can reach our goals."
