Today (March 31) will be mostly cloudy today with outbreaks of rain along with areas of mist and drizzle.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts some prolonged dry spells across Munster through this afternoon and evening with showers there also.
Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees can be expected with moderate northwest breezes developing, fresh in the south and west.
It will be damp and rather misty across the country overnight with outbreaks of rain in many northern and eastern counties and with the possibility of spot flooding.
Clear spells will develop at times in the south and west but showers will occur there also, some heavy and prolonged.
Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.
