Forecasters at Met Éireann are warning it will be "noticeably cooler" across the country later this week as air temperatures are expected to drop a degree or two below average.
According to the latest forecast, it will be particularly chilly on Wednesday with grass frost likely in most areas overnight on Wednesday into Thursday.
On a positive note, it will largely dry this Monday with temperatures of up to 19 degrees possible in places.
However, increasing cloud will gradually feed into patchy rain or drizzle in western and northern counties, with perhaps the odd spot up elsewhere.
It will be blustery on Monday night and, according to Met Éireann, outbreaks of rain will affect many areas early Tuesday.
Initial indications suggest it will be "noticeably cool" on Wednesday with breezy with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers, most frequent in northern area, with the chance of hail and lightning.
Another cool day is likely on Thursday with some sunshine and scattered showers, but it will be drier, especially across the western half of the country.
A chilly day can also be expected on Friday but it will be dry with some early sunshine.
In its outlook, Met Éireann says it will be "mixed with cool temperatures recovering this weekend".
