The sun is set to shine across the country this weekend, albeit some scattered showers, according to Met Éireann's latest update.
Indeed, popular Carlow weatherman Alan O'Reilly shared on social media that the recent statistics show that Ireland has experienced 'above average sunshine' in the past seven days.
Friday will enjoy more sunny spells with mostly dry conditions and the odd isolated shower. There'll still be a mild chill in the air however as highest temperatures will range from 7 to 11 degrees.

More outbreaks of rain are expected to develop overnight on Friday across much of Ulster, Connacht and northwest Munster. Temperatures will dip between -1 and 5 degrees. Some frost is also expected under the clear skies away from the north and west.
Saturday morning will see rain move southeastwards, however as it does, it will be followed by drier and brighter weather. Again, temperatures will peak between 7 and 11 degrees.
Saturday night will be dry with some clear spells. Patches of mist and fog will develop in parts as well some frost and ice as lowest temperatures will range from -1 to +4 degrees.
Sunday will be generally dry with lots of sunny spells as the fog and mist gradually clear in the morning. There are also some chances of isolated showers. Highest temperatures will reach between 9 to 11 degrees.
Sunday night will see more cloud as well as some patchy light rain in the west and north. Temperatures will be slightly warmer on Sunday night with between 1 and 5 degrees expected in the south and elsewhere shouldn't fall below 5 to 8 degrees.
Monday will be a cloudier day with some rain in the north and west. Although the south will enjoy some brighter spells. Highest temperatures will reach between 10 and 12 degrees.
Monday night will continue to be cloudy with rain in the west and north, and drier spells in the southern half of the country. Lowest temperatures will range between 3 and 8 degrees.
